This charming apartment is the entire 3rd floor of an historic row house in the dynamic neighborhood of Columbia Heights.

 

The apartment is separate and private with a door at the bottom of the stairs, but the entry is through the main house where I live. You may come and go as you please.  I'm a writer & work at home.

The apartment sleeps four. 

 

There is one bedroom with queen sized bed and a separate living room with a comfy queen-sized sofa bed. The full bathroom is on the landing between the two rooms, giving you two private "sleeping spaces."

Only Half-block from Columbia Heights Metro station, (Yellow/Green line) it is only 5 stops (7-10 minutes) to tourist areas - Smithsonian museums, US Capitol, Convention Center, Zoo.

 

What's Nearby?

• Within 2 blocks you will find dozens of restaurants and cafes, neighborhood pubs, coffee shops, grocery Store, CVS drugstore, Farmer's Market.
   

• Shopping center with Target & Marshalls. (Travel light and buy it all here!)
   

• Other neighborhoods with similar vibrant nightlife & restaurants - Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, Mount Pleasant & U st - are an easy 15-20 minute walk, or one subway stop away.

• In the living room there is a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, 2 electric burners, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, etc. - everything you need to prepare light meals.
   

• Because of the open stairs the apt. is not safe for crawling babies and toddlers
   

• There is one Aerobed available, making it possible for 3 children to share the living room. This is very crowded however and not recommended for longer than 4 nights.
